2006 Season Preview

Running car no 59 - Live Astra Stages Results from 10 am Saturday 1st April

After a promising start to 2005 towards the end of the season we had some mechanical failures.
We feel we have learned a lot and have addressed these problems and we are very optimistic for 2006

After carefull consideration of whats on offer this year we have again decided to concentrate on the
BRC Stars Championship with hopefully some outings on the BTRDA championship thoughout the season.
The mix of Tarmac and Gravel with the opportunity to compete on the famous Isle of Man roads swung the Stars Championship for us.

Our first outing planned is the BTRDA Malcolm Wilson as a shake down for the opening round of the Stars in Wales.
we also plan to compete again on Mull this year, a fantastic expierience for all the crew.

Can I take this opportunity to thank all who have helped us during 2005 as without your help none of it would have been possible.

Malcolm Wilson Report

Really enjoyed the event and was glad to up with the B8's after 2 stages. slid off wide on the loose h/pin right in Wythop dropping 2 mins (thanks to the 3 gents who lifted us back on the road) but had a clean run though Grizedale south to make some of the time back.

Gearbox turret came loose in Grizedale North causing us to stop and fix it dropping loads of time. did the rest of the stages but found we had gone OTL fixing the problem and did Greystoke with a suspect broken front shocker.

Though the road timing was a bit tight between the Winlater stages and Greystoke was a bit ruff.

Since the Malcolm Wilson we have fitted a Harry Hockly Gear Lever and Linkage Kit as the standard linkages were stuggling to cope with the extra strain of the Dog Engagement gear change.
Hopefully this will sort out the problems we have been having over the last few events.
